Ladscaping
Proper plant selection is one the most important "secrets" in successful landscaping. Plants and colors are the "flavors" that bring your garden to life. They're also elements that can be used with purpose such as screening, shade, erosion control, dividing, focal points, noise control, etc. So propagation of or choosing the right plants for the right place and purpose is helpful for professional looking, working, and manageable landscaping.
Irrigation System
A sprinkler requires two things to operate- water flow and water pressure. When a sprinkler system design fails, it is almost always due to a lack of water pressure at the sprinklers. We refer to that as "losing pressure" when designing. Some pressure is lost when the water goes through a water meter. It loses some more pressure as it moves through the various pipes in your yard and house. Squeezing through valves and/or a backflow preventer eats up more pressure. Everything the water encounters as it moves from the water source to the sprinkler uses up a small amount of the water pressure.
So here is the key to a good sprinkler system design, by using the correct sizes of pipes, valves, etc. you can control how much pressure is lost in the irrigation system, and that, my friends, is what sprinkler system design is all about!
Patios, Pavers and Flagstone
Stepping stones meander through gardens to stone patios creating a landscaper's masterpiece. Flags and slabs are terms used to describe the materials that make up stone patios.
A patio constructed of patio pavers can add a very distinctive look to your home. If installing patio pavers is done correctly, the brick paver patio will last of years.
Slate flagstone and pavers are ideal for outdoor patios, porches, terraces, pavilions, driveways, walkways, stepping stones or any public building. Flagstone is a combination of hardness, durability, excellent performance and natural beauty, making it an ideal material for pavers.
Drainage
Drainage is the natural or artificial removal of surface and sub-surface water from an area. Many agricultural soils need drainage to improve production or to manage water supplies.
Fountains
Fountains are wonderful additions to any yard, be they big or small. They don't only add to your relaxing oasis; they also provide a much-needed water source for the other inhabitants of your garden - birds and animals.
You can have the relaxing sound of rushing water on a hot summer day and any day, garden fountains come in all shapes and sizes and are made out of various materials, we can help you to chose the right for your place.
Landscape Lighting
Ambiance is that special atmosphere or mood created by a particular environment. This is the goal of landscape lighting, along with safety and security issues. Strategically placed lighting that illuminates the landscape after dark, the lights and shadows creating an ambiance that is at once welcoming, but different from the daytime mood.
The beauty and functionality a lighted landscape affords is coupled with the additional bonus of safety to the property. There's more light for people to see where they are walking, and fewer places for a potential thief to hide.
Clean up and Mulch
Mulch gives your lawn a clean finished look, but did you know that mulch is very beneficial to your plants and soil. Here are a few good reasons to mulch:
